Availing Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES)
ABOUT THE SERVICE:
The Special Program for Employment of Students (SPES) aims to help less privileged but deserving students and out of school youth in pursuing their education by extending employment during summer vacation pursuant to Republic Act 7323, enacted on March 30, 1992.
The program is conducted every year. SPES beneficiaries are assigned to the different departments of the City Government of Koronadal. Work duration is in a minimum of 15 days but not more than 45 days. Beneficiaries are entitled of minimum wage in which, 60% is paid by the city government and 40% by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
SPES Criteria:
1. 15 to 25 years old
2. A resident of Koronadal City
3. Enrolled during the present school year/semester immediately preceding the summer vacation or a drop-out who intends to enroll again.
4. Parents net income after tax does not exceed P 60,000.00 per annum
5. Has No failing grades
