Located within the heart of the city serve Koronadalians and its visitors. Since there is an abundant of food in the locality, foods are most likely sold at a much cheaper price compared to other nearby places.
Sports & Recreation - Koronadal is home to the
South Cotabato Sports Complex that covers an area of 3.5 hectares, with a fully rubberized oval an Olympics-sized swimming pool. The South Cotabato Gymnasium and Cultural Centers, located at the heart of the city, has an area of 2,867 square meters and can accommodate to a maximum of 10,000. Fit Mart Mall houses a convention center that holds a
capacity of 3,000 seaters and hosts a variety of activities like organized seminars, elegant weddings and other occasions. A booming industry in the city is the swimming pool business. The newest swimming destination in the city, Del Rio Splash Resort, boost of a large convention center and a garden-setting place for all occasions that float on a fish pond. On September 18, 2003, the City Government launched the "KARAKASA" Fitness Program. It is an aero-marathon where people can join the exercises at the Rizal Park every Tuesday to Saturday.
The Sport Mecca in the South :: Host of Palarong Pambansa 2007 - Some 10,000 delegation converged in the City of Koronadal for a week long national sports event competition. The opening
started with a parade around the City joined by
all athletes and technical officials from the 17 participating regions. The 30 minutes fireworks display of colors prepared by the city that light up the skies of Koronadal signifies a fitting culmination of a successful celebration. To note, this is the second time that Koronadal hosted the Palarong Pambansa. The other one was in 1996.
Koronadal City is indeed, doing its best in transcending its image as a home of friendly and most hospitable people.
