Not even a bad weather can slow down athletic player Gerald Archie Tuarez as he competes to grab the first medal for Koronadal at Batang Pinoy 2019 National Championships.
Tuazon came up just short with a silver placed finish in Shot Put event with a record of 11.64m. Although he just recovered from dengue, his performance displayed his readiness for the competition.
The said medal was the first national award received by Tuarez after winning the two (2) regional awards at the Batang Pinoy 2018 Mindanao qualifying leg held at Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental and the Mindanao qualifying leg at Tagum City.
“Self-discipline including proper nutrition and right training”, Tuazon explained how he keeps physically fit and condition for the game.
Proud coach Mr. Noel Capanyarihan expressed gratification for the determination showed by Tuarez.
Shot Put is one of the many athletic events conducted at Speaker Ramon V. Mitra Sports Complex, Puerto Princesa.
