CDRRMC, conducts quarterly simultaneous earthquake drill

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) headed by CDRRMC Officer Cyrus Jose Urbano conducted quarterly simultaneous earthquake drill. The institutions underwent the said drill were the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region XII, Philippine National Police (PNP) located at Barangay Morales and Ramon Magsaysay Memorial College (RMMC).  

CDRRMC Officer Urbano, on the other hand, was delighted of the result of the activity because of the significant progress of the participants. He said partakers were now more serious in performing drill and more aware of the importance of the above-mentioned exercise.

Urbano also believed that because of the conduct of regular drill, numerous institutions in the city have had realized the significance of their participation after organizing their response team and doing their regular earthquake and fire drills through the supervision of the council.

Meanwhile, the CDRRMC officer is appealing to all establishments with 2-storey building particularly the outmoded structure to undergo the aforementioned drills as part of the preparation when calamity strikes. The Philippine National Police (PNP) and Bureau of Fire Protection (BJMP) based in the city are the usual agencies that spearhead the drills as part of the disaster team.
