To promote nation building by producing righteous leadership in the Local Government Unit, the National Auxiliary Chaplaincy Philippines, Inc. (NACPHIL) Koronadal Chapter conducted a Training on Basic Chaplaincy in Moral Recovery and Values Formation among its members on December 13, 2019 at Zone III Barangay Hall, City of Koronadal.

In one of the interviews, Rev. Chaplain Jose C. Custorio, NACPHIL City Director said, that it is the role of their organization to train and equip religious leaders to be deployed in the different government offices as chaplains. “With the new administration, there was a mandate from our National Office that all inactive chaplains shall renew their commitment by taking part in the restructuring process or reorganization and must undergo training”, Rev. Custorio said.

Topics on the Significant Roles of the Chaplains, NACPHIL Chaplaincy, Code of Ethics and Philippine Government Moral Recovery Program (MRP) were discussed to about 20 members of the NACPHIL.

“After they become a legitimate member of the NACPHIL, these Chaplains will be deployed in various offices of the government and will implement the programs on values formation and moral recovery from the grassroot level up to the highest government authority”.  Rev. Custorio said.

NACPHIL as a ministry implements Values Formation and Moral Recovery Program of the Philippine government by rendering pastoral care and assistance especially to the depressed and oppressed.“The Moral Recovery Program is a program of the government and our role is to spearhead the implementation of the said program”, Rev. Custorio said in an interview.

The then DILG Sec. Jesse Robredo issued a Memorandum Circular No. 2011-58 dated April 25, 2011, addressed all Provincial, City and Municipal leaders, Punong Barangays, DILG Regional Directors, and others concerned agencies to support NACPHIL programs and seminars on Moral Recovery and Values Formation nationwide.
