City government celebrates 119 years of civil service

The Local Government Unit of Koronadal is one with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) in the commemoration of its 119 years of steadfast resiliency in public service.

With the theme “Civil Service at 119: Upholding Integrity and a High Trust Society”, the City Human Resource Management Office led the city’s celebration through a simultaneous blood typing activity and Employees’ Forum for the city government employees.

City Government Department Head I and HR designate Hazel A. Lebanan,MM laid out the importance of CSC’s annual tradition, being the government’s central authority in personnel management and administration.

“We were able to harmonize everything, tie our knot together, and come up with this simple celebration, yet we believe that through this, we can also make our share in strengthening our bureaucracy”, Lebanan said  in her speech.

A total of 254 employees and citizens availed of the all-day free blood typing service given by medical technologists of the City Health Office.

Meanwhile,  during the Employees Forum, CSC-South Cotabato Field Office Director Teresita R. Antolin reviewed and refereshed the employees about the rules, rights, and privileges of every employee in the civil service.

On the other hand, PDEA XII Information Officer Katryn Gaye J. Abad reminded the employees about the importance of a drug-free workplace especially in the government.Also, Abad challenged the city’s anti-drug interagency to fast track the formation of the Drug-Free Workplace Program in compliance with the President’s order under PDEA geared towards establishing LGUs as leaders in eliminating drugs in the workplace.
