The city government of Koronadal intensifies its campaign on the use of Staysafe.ph online flatform as a contact tracing application and information source to effectively monitor disease outbreaks and track emerging public health threats.

The “Bulig Kontra Covid-19 Koronadal” was tasked to lead the ongoing juggernaut through the conduct of orientation and distribution of flyers in all public places like shopping centers, public market, and its 27 barangays.

Aside from the said efforts, the group also facilitates the registration process through different outlets installed in malls and scheduled visits to the 27 barangays. This is to ensure that users will not miss the registration including their family members. Further, all city’s returnees were obliged to enroll for easy monitoring of their health status while under quarantine especially those possible covid-19 positive patients.

Staysafe.ph is a network that the government urges to adopt as a contact tracing system to surveil people’s health especially in this trying time of pandemic and as a form of management tool in combating coronavirus (covid-19) cases in the city.

Before the campaign, City Mayor Eliordo Ogena signed the Executive Order (EO) 44 which encourages individuals to take voluntary enrolment at Staysafe.ph online application in support to the issued Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 2020-081 of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) whom the agency massively promote.

Furthermore, to strengthen the reinforcement of the said MC, the Regional Development Council (RDC) XII passed the Resolution No. O1 series of 2020, enjoining all government units down to barangay levels and all regional line agencies and other government organizations to engage in the same confederation. Thus, the Sangguniang Panglungsod (SP) of Koronadal, had also passed the Resolution No. 43 as a manifestation of support to the Staysafe.ph online application and was approved last 19th May, this year.
