Global app ‘foodpanda’ brings food delivery innovation to Koronadal
The city of Koronadal welcomes the arrival of the popular food delivery marketplace in Southeast Asia and different parts of the globe: Foodpanda [stylized as ‘foodpanda’], a mobile application bringing your orders in the comfort of your homes.
The Negosyo Center-Koronadal, DTI-South Cotabato and foodpanda arranged an orientation at the City Hall Lobby to help restaurateurs and food establishment owners be introduced to the service and partner with them by promoting their delectable dishes to the public.
Ms. Ezra Espina, foodpanda city manager sees the potential market of Koronadal as part of their expansion projects because of its logistic advantage from nearby cities and the attractive food culture unique to the city. “With the success of foodpanda in GenSan, the nearest city is Koronadal.. and we have also seen the bustling food industry in Koronadal. Madaming variety, a lot of food vendors, so of course, we considered Koronadal as the next city in South Cotabato.”
Foodpanda expansion started online in May 3, starting its presence on Facebook and spurring lead generation for vendors. 30 riders are hired as of date and the company looks forward to hundred of vendors to register by the end of the month and beyond.
