Hundred of Dog Owners gather during 2019 Dog Fashion Show
Around 100 dog owners gathered during the 2019 dog fashion show at Rizal Park, this city. As expected, the contest became vibrant as dogs together with their masters ramped on the stage wearing a thematic Chinese inspired costume.
The competition was classified into two (2) categories that include the small and large sizes of the dog with 15 participators. In small breed category, Janine Sio bagged the first prize with cash award of Php 3,000 while the big size category was awarded to Madonna Dang Guang who also received the same cash prize of Php3,000.
Aside from dog fashion shows, also included in the duel were dog eating contest which participated by 30 dogs and the first time dog parlor game. Meanwhile, the annual pet blessing and anti-rabies vaccination were also part of the activity. For the pet blessing, the office of the city veterinary served 30 dogs and another 50 for free rabies vaccination.
Further, all participants also received freebies like dog food, vitamins, and shampoo for dogs.
The said activity spearheaded by City Veterinarian Dr. Charlemagne Calo was conducted on October 8, 2019, as part of the city’s 19th Charter Anniversary and 9th Negosyo Festival celebration.
The program was successfully conducted through the sponsorship of UNACHO, a regular partner of Local Government Unit (LGU) of Koronadal.
