Kor LGU to begin 3rd wave distribution

The Local Government Unit of Koronadal is now more prepared for the third wave distribution with their stockpiles of relief goods and commodities ready to be distributed on June 8 to 13 in the 27 barangays.

City Mayor Eliordo U. Ogena assured residents that the city government has enough resources to provide food assistance for the 69,500 families affected by community quarantine as a measure to combat the COVID-19.

“May third wave kita sang distribution sang bugas kag mga grocery items. Sa karon nagastockpile na kita sang bugas, kag mga noodles usually, sardinas, sugar, coffee kag may canned goods pa kita”, Mayor Ogena said. Meanwhile, the Mayor also assured the public that giving of aid are not just limited to those who registered at staysafe.ph and will not necessitate the presentation of QR code. “Maregister kaman sa hindi tagaan naton ina. Kay ngaa ang pagrehistro, remember, if the public is concern, that is voluntary pero kung ikaw ara sa LGU, sa akon hindi na voluntary, obligasyon naton tumanon ang mando sa itaas”, Mayor Ogena said.

 The packs, each consist of milk, sugar, coffee,“ginamos” or salted and fermented krill and 10 kilos of rice for permanent residents and 3 kilos for renters/boarders.

 COVID-19 has now claimed the lives of more than 900 in the entire Philippines. Fortunately, the first COVID-19 case in Koronadal survived and was tested negative.
