Model Families partnering with city gov’t
The city government of Koronadal is pushing for the intensified implementation of the Responsible Parenthood and Family Planning Program by partnering with the Model Family Association of the City of Koronadal (MOFACIKO).
To serve as the city government’s partner in promoting responsible parenthood, the City Population Office hone some member of the MOFACIKO to serve as counselors towards developing and maintaining a responsive mechanism for an effective implementation of the Pre-Marriage Counselling program.
City Population Officer Nancy A. Adalin believes that the role of MOFACIKO members is very significant in providing the couples with useful and practical information about marriage and relationships and responsible parenthood, for a harmonious marriage and nurtured family.
On the other hand, to capacitate the MOFACIKO members on their role, the City Population Office lectured on responsible parenthood and mental illnesses on December 7, 2019 at City Hall lobby.
All these efforts are geared towards the government’s goal of “Maunlad, Matatag, Maginhawa at Planadong Pamilyang Pilipino” to strengthen the country’s global competitiveness.
