Trail 1 or 2: Pick your choice in Paskoronadal New Normal

December 1, 2020

With trail 1 and trail 2 tour packages in Paskoronadal 2020-Paskuhan Village, anyone can choose which trail to avail first and the other the second time around.

With the new normal, still, the City Hall ground will turn into a glittering array of lights, gently illuminating the landscape in altering colors with its giant parole especially made from recycled plastic bottles. A wide selection of Christmas decorations, epic light shows and the dancing fountain will be a perfect treat amidst the pandemic.

To cater the 27 barangays while adhering to the strict health protocols set by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) PasKoronadal Committee Head Elric Batilaran led in strategizing two tour packages, the trail 1 and trail 2 with two distinctive Christmas amusement offerings.

According to Batilaran, trail 1 offers 8 different patterns of light shows, while trail 2 offers a tour to the city hall lobby and a view deck of the fountain. He said that the 27 barangays with be clustered accordingly-two barangays each night. They also provide a schedule for visiting guests and tourists who will deliberately witness the village.

Prior to the village opening in December 8, Batilaran said the committee would carry out a dry-run activity to measure the village’s capacity and the influx of people. He also lined-up the list of precautionary and health protocols that would be enforced before entering the village, such as temperature checks and foot marks to maintain physical distance. Once inside, the committee will set a viewing time to give way to others.

Meanwhile City General Services Officer Gemma Amor Panza said that with a meager budget of P600,000.00 much lower than last year, the city was able to create a giant parole out of recycled materials. Also, the star parole and metal pipes from last year’s decoration were re-used as part of the austerity measure.

When it comes to security measures, CSU Chief Raul Miramon said that he will prohibit double parking and will implement the 50-meter stretch from the village. Also, traffic enforcers, military reservists and BPATs will be deployed within the city hall limit to maintain the peace and order.

With the ongoing health crisis, the city government is positive that the splendid climate of the yuletide season will still bring new thrills, glitz and frills to the city of warm-hearted and peace-loving people as the City of Koronadal offers a nightly Christmas treat. Regional offices will also launch various virtual contests and late-night online raffles with exciting prizes at stake.

The Paskoronadal is an annual celebration organized by the city government to offer Koronadaleños a Christmas, full of new shows, sights, music and attractions.
